JASON PARMELEE
Current Member

Jason was born and raised in the Town of Scituate. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island College of Business with a degree in accounting. He began his career as a Municipal Auditor in the private sector. Jason left private industry to pursue a career in public finance as a Finance Director, which is a position he held in multiple communities within Rhode Island. While serving as a Finance Director, Jason also performed the duties of Town Auditor, Treasurer, Tax Collector and Purchasing Agent. These varied responsibilities enable Jason to gain a considerable base of knowledge in municipal accounting and operations. Jason has served this past term with all constituents in mind when placing his vote. During his tenure, he has joined the Scituate Lions Club to connect further within the community. If re-elected, he will continue to provide fair and balanced consideration of Town issues.

DAVID D'AGOSTINO
New Candidate

David M. D’Agostino is running for Town Council to continue his 25 years of public service to the citizens of Scituate, having been your Town Moderator since 1999. A life-long Scituate resident, David seeks to continue his own, and his family’s, long tradition of helping people in the community. A 1988 Eagle Scout from Troop 1, North Scituate, David was also involved in the Town’s volunteer EMS services, first as a junior member of the North Scituate Fire Department and later as an EMT-D and Rescue Captain with the Scituate Ambulance and Rescue Corps. Prior to attending Roger Williams Law School, David worked as an electrician for his father’s electrical contracting company, doing a lot of work in the Western RI Home Repair Program in many homes throughout Scituate. A lawyer for the past 25 years, David has worked at Gorham & Gorham, Inc., since 2004, and in that capacity has represented both the Town of Scituate and the Scituate School Department, giving him a unique understanding of local government that he hopes to bring to his service on the Council. In that time, David has helped many people and small businesses in the community. David is the son of late Councilman David A. D’Agostino and Jeanne (Macdonald) and is married to Dory.

PETER MEUSERT
New Candidate

A Scituate resident for more than 34 years, Pete loves, appreciates and will work hard to preserve the rural, small-town character of the town. He is a top responding volunteer with the North Scituate Fire Department and has served as chairman of its Finance Committee for the past three years. Professionally, Pete is the Director of the Infrastructure Architecture group at IGT Corporation (formerly GTECH). His background is in computer engineering and is a graduate of CCRI and attended the University of RI. He is a past member of the West End Volunteer Fire Department in Johnston, the RI State Firefighter’s League, the San Bernado Men’s Society, and was a Volunteer Emergency Room Greeter at RI Hospital. Pete understands the balance between quality-of-life services provided by the town and the cost of those services to the residents. He is passionate about ensuring that every tax dollar is spent wisely via disciplined and responsible financial management. His priority will be to listen to the concerns of Scituate residents and most of all, Pete’s promise is to serve the citizens of the town with honest, transparent, and effective government.

GARY GRANDE
Current Member

Gary has lived in Scituate for 40 years; he’s married and has 2 children who graduated from the Scituate School system. He is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Business. Gary has owned the Grande Insurance Agency since 1993. He has served as a Development Board Member for Women & Infants Hospital, a Director of the VNA of Care New England, Board member of Scituate Youth Soccer Association, and Scituate Foster Little League. Gary has served as a coach for Scituate Foster LL, and both Girls and Boys recreation soccer and baseball. He has been both a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader in Scituate for 24 years. Gary has been on the Scituate Town Council since 2019 and currently serves on the HR Committee, Police Pension Board, the Recreation committee, and the Fire Suppression Committee.

TIM MCCORMICK
Current Member

Tim has been a Scituate resident for more than 35 years and a member of the Town Council since 2019. Tim is currently on the Executive Board of the League of Cities and Towns representing the interests of Scituate residents. He also serves as a member of the Police Pension Board and as the liaison to the Department of Public Works. Tim has been actively involved in many civic groups and volunteer organizations including the Scituate Lions Club (current Treasurer), St. Joseph Church (former Finance Committee Chairman), North Scituate Public Library (past President), and RI Meals on Wheels (past Board member). Tim retired as an equity analyst at Bank of NY Mellon in 2019. He has a B.S. in Marketing from Niagara University, an MBA (Finance) from SUNY Binghamton and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

DAVID MEDBURY
New Candidate

David has lived in Scituate his whole life and is a graduate from Scituate High School. Inspired by his father, who served as town clerk for 25 years, David has always felt a strong connection to local politics. With 36 years of experience in the hospitality and healthcare industries, consisting of a successful entrepreneurial journey including creating and operating multiple businesses and now currently selling commercial equipment throughout New England, David has a well-rounded perspective to offer the school department. His daughter’s graduation from SHS in 2020 and Rhode Island College this past May has reignited his passion for public service. David is running for the Scituate School Committee to build on and strengthen the high educational standards that the town is known for, while ensuring responsible spending. He is committed to being accessible and listening to the needs and viewpoints of all residents. David believes that together, we can uphold and enhance the quality of education in Scituate, ensuring a bright future for our children and community

HARRY HALLTown Moderator Candidate

Harry Hall is a lifelong Scituate resident, and first-time candidate for elective office. Harry is a graduate of Scituate High School and Roger Williams University, where he studied American Studies and Legal Studies; going on to graduate from Roger Williams University School of Law with honors. Harry has had the privilege to serve on the Scituate Zoning Board of Review for over five years and has been entrusted to serve as an Election Moderator in several elections. Harry has a passion for constitutional law and Rhode Island history, and if elected, Harry would be honored to contribute to the continuation of Scituate’s democratic traditions and to safeguard the interests and rights of his fellow residents. Harry brings a thoughtful approach and a dedication to fairness and integrity to everything he does, aiming to make a positive impact on the community he is so proud to call home.

LAURI HART LAFAUCI
New Candidate

Lori, making Scituate her homestead in 2014, brings years of volunteer work and school support with her. Lori has a B.S. degree from the University of Rhode Island. Lori’s commitment to the education of her 5-child blended family is evident in her volunteer work as a teachers aid, lunch assistant, PTA member and school event planner. Lori is a proud military spouse and volunteered countless years to the RI Air National Guard Military Family Programs where she was eventually hired as the states full-time Air National Guard Family Program Manager. Currently, Lori is employed by the Rhode Island Department of Corrections in the Probation Division at the Rhode Island Superior Court. Her federal and state employment has contributed to Lori’s strong skill set in contracting, policies, procedures and regulations. Lori currently serves as a member of the Scituate Juvenile Hearing Board and is a former member of the Coventry Board of Canvassers. This is an essential base of knowledge for any school committee member. Before Lori moved to Scituate, Lori was appointed by the Coventry Town Council to the Board of Canvasses where she served for 5 years. Fiscally sound decision making, child centric discussions and a hands experiential learning environment are at the core of Lori’s plans for the Scituate School district.

CHUCK COLLINS
Current Member

“Chuck” was first elected to the Town Council in 2006. He is a life long resident of Scituate and a graduate of Scituate High. He received an Assoc. Degree from Bryant University and attended Roger Williams University. He was a member of the RI National Guard and joined the Scituate Police Dept. retiring as Deputy Chief after 33 years. Chuck previously served as the Chairman of the Scituate Housing Authority. While on the Town Council, he served as chair of the DPW Committee, Human Resources, and Budget Committee. He has brought a steady presence to the issues and challenges facing the town.

Bob is from a long line of Dexters in RI and Scituate. He is a graduate of Scituate School system and attended Berkley School of Music in Boston. Since then, he has received numerous certifications and professional licenses - state & federal. Bob volunteered on the Scituate Ambulance & Rescue Corps, the N Scituate Fire & Rescue, receiving his EMT and earned captain designation in both. He served on the Scituate Town Comprehensive Plan, Scituate Planning Commission, Scituate Conservation Committee, 12 years as Town Council and is currently on the Capital Plan Committee. He served as Public Works Director working under the council, with town wide departments, and town organizations. He serves on the Executive Board of Directors NE American Public Works Assc. and is a member of the Scituate Lions Club. When asked to serve as Town Clerk Bobs answer was yes.
