Jason was born and raised in the Town of Scituate. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island College of Business with a degree in accounting. He began his career as a Municipal Auditor in the private sector. Jason left private industry to pursue a career in public finance as a Finance Director, which is a position he held in multiple communities within Rhode Island. While serving as a Finance Director, Jason also performed the duties of Town Auditor, Treasurer, Tax Collector and Purchasing Agent. These varied responsibilities enable Jason to gain a considerable base of knowledge in municipal accounting and operations. Jason has served this past term with all constituents in mind when placing his vote. During his tenure, he has joined the Scituate Lions Club to connect further within the community. If re-elected, he will continue to provide fair and balanced consideration of Town issues.
BRENDA FREDERICKSON
New Candidate
Brenda Frederickson is running for Town Council. Brenda previously served as a Council member from January 2009 through December 2020. She also served as the Scituate Welfare Director from January 2000 through December 2008. She also served as Deputy Treasurer for the town of Foster and the Finance Clerk for the town of West Greenwich. Brenda brings to her public service a depth of municipal governance experience, small business experience, and of course, her personal experience as a mother and grandmother. She has been involved in recycling initiatives, including the acquisition of the town’s recycle totes, volunteer fire departments, and many civic organizations in our Town. Brenda and her husband, Howie, raised two sons, who are both graduates of Scituate Schools. She has worked side by side with members of the Scituate community to address the needs that matter most–fiscally responsible government that works for the people, strong schools, supporting seniors, and maintaining Scituate’s quality of life. She understands and appreciates the value of listening, problem-solving and making decisions that balance vision with practicality.
Michael Marr believes that strong communities are built on integrity, hard work, personal responsibility, and service to others. As a graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School, he studied business management and accounting. As a third-generation leader of Marr Office Equipment, a family business with a proud history of more than 70 years, Michael helped build a nationally recognized company known for excellence in customer service and innovation. Michael is also an active member of the Center for Cardiac Fitness and Rehabilitation, where he mentors current and former cardiac patients. Seventeen years ago, Michael chose Scituate as his home because of its strong sense of community and shared conservative values. Today, he is committed to giving back through public service. As a candidate for the Scituate Town Council, Michael is dedicated to honest, accountable leadership, fiscal responsibility, preserving Scituate’s unique character, protecting taxpayers, and supporting responsible growth. He is ready to put his experience and leadership to work for the residents of Scituate.
DAVID D’AGOSTINO
Current Member
David M. D’Agostino is running for reelection to the Town Council, where he has served as Council Vice President. This continues his more than 25 years of public service to the citizens of Scituate. A lifelong Scituate resident, David seeks to continue his own, and his family’s, long tradition of helping people in the community. A 1988 Eagle Scout from Troop 1, North Scituate, David was also involved in the Town’s volunteer EMS services, first as a junior member of the North Scituate Fire Department and later as an EMT-D and Rescue Captain with the Scituate Ambulance and Rescue Corps. Prior to attending Roger Williams Law School, David worked as an electrician for his father’s electrical contracting company, doing a lot of work in the Western RI Home Repair Program in many homes throughout Scituate. A practicing attorney for the past 27 years, David has represented the Town of Scituate and the Scituate School Department, among many other municipal clients, giving him a unique understanding of local government that he brings to his service on the Council. In addition to representing municipalities, David has helped many people and small businesses in the local community. He is the son of the late Councilman David A. D’Agostino and Jeanne (Macdonald) and is married to Dory.
A Scituate resident for more than 34 years, Pete loves, appreciates and will work hard to preserve the rural, small-town character of the town. He is a top responding volunteer with the North Scituate Fire Department. Professionally, Pete is the Director of the Infrastructure Architecture group at Brightstar Lottery. His background is in computer engineering and is a graduate of CCRI and attended the University of RI. He is a past member of the West End Volunteer Fire Department in Johnston, the RI State Firefighter’s League, the San Bernado Men’s Society, and was a Volunteer Emergency Room Greeter at RI Hospital. Pete understands the balance between quality-of-life services provided by the town and the cost of those services to the residents. He is passionate about ensuring that every tax dollar is spent wisely via disciplined and responsible financial management. His priority will be to listen to the concerns of Scituate residents and most of all, Pete’s promise is to serve the citizens of the town with honest, transparent, and effective government.

BRENDEN MACHOWSKI
New Candidate
Brenden is a lifelong Scituate resident and a graduate of Scituate High School. He has always given back to his community and has volunteered with numerous organizations. He currently serves as Vice President of the Scituate Lions Club and is on the Scituate School Department’s Capital Planning and Building Committee. While attending Scituate High School, Brenden served as Student Council President and Class President. At the statewide level, he was State Vice President of a Career and Technical Education (CTE) student organization and was a member of the Rhode Island Department of Education’s Student Advisory Board, where he worked with the Rhode Island Commissioner of Education. He was also heavily involved in Scituate’s Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) program and volunteered as a robotics coach for elementary and middle school students. In recognition of his leadership and community involvement, Brenden received the Rhode Island Young Leader Award and the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Brenden currently works at Bally’s Casino as a Main Banker with additional duties as a Slot Attendant. He is committed to making Scituate’s schools better and looks forward to supporting the students, families, and staff who make Scituate so special.

HARRY HALL, Town Moderator Candidate
Harry Hall is a lifelong Scituate resident, and first-time candidate for elective office. Harry is a graduate of Scituate High School and Roger Williams University, where he studied American Studies and Legal Studies; going on to graduate from Roger Williams University School of Law with honors. Harry has had the privilege to serve on the Scituate Zoning Board of Review for over five years and has been entrusted to serve as an Election Moderator in several elections. Harry has a passion for constitutional law and Rhode Island history, and if elected, Harry would be honored to contribute to the continuation of Scituate’s democratic traditions and to safeguard the interests and rights of his fellow residents. Harry brings a thoughtful approach and a dedication to fairness and integrity to everything he does, aiming to make a positive impact on the community he is so proud to call home.

Lynn graduated from Scituate High School and received her B.S. from Bryant University. As the proud mother of two children in the Scituate school system, Lynn has a firsthand understanding of the importance of strong schools and engaged families. She is passionate about strengthening the Scituate community and supporting its students, families and schools. Lynn’s dedication to her hometown has been demonstrated through years of volunteer work and community involvement. Most recently, Lynn served as the President of the North Scituate Elementary PTO, where she worked collaboratively with parents, teachers and generous donors to enhance educational opportunities and create meaningful experiences for all students. Lynn also serves as a Board Member of the Scituate Youth Soccer Association (SYSA) and has been a Scituate competitive and recreational soccer coach for the past 12 years. In addition to her volunteer work, she is involved with the Scituate Cheerleading program. Through all of these roles, she has mentored countless young athletes while fostering teamwork and confidence. As a School Committee Member, Lynn will utilize her strong organizational, problem solving, and communication skills to serve and support Scituate students, families, and educators.
“Chuck” was first elected to the Town Council in 2006. He is a life long resident of Scituate and a graduate of Scituate High. He received an Assoc. Degree from Bryant University and attended Roger Williams University. He was a member of the RI National Guard and joined the Scituate Police Dept. retiring as Deputy Chief after 33 years. Chuck previously served as the Chairman of the Scituate Housing Authority. While on the Town Council, he served as chair of the DPW Committee, Human Resources, and Budget Committee. He has brought a steady presence to the issues and challenges facing the town.

BOB DEXTER, Town Clerk Candidate
Bob is from a long line of Dexters in RI and Scituate. He is a graduate of Scituate School system and attended Berkley School of Music in Boston. Since then, he has received numerous certifications and professional licenses - state & federal. Bob volunteered on the Scituate Ambulance & Rescue Corps, the N Scituate Fire & Rescue, receiving his EMT and earned captain designation in both. He served on the Scituate Town Comprehensive Plan, Scituate Planning Commission, Scituate Conservation Committee, 12 years as Town Council and is currently on the Capital Plan Committee. He served as Public Works Director working under the council, with town wide departments, and town organizations. He serves on the Executive Board of Directors NE American Public Works Assc. and is a member of the Scituate Lions Club. When asked to serve as Town Clerk Bobs answer was yes.
Tracey was born and raised in Scituate. She is a Daughter of the American Revolution through the Greene family and a citizen of Scituate through the Hicks family, who have called Scituate home since before the Civil War. Tracey met her husband, Ian, at Scituate Middle School, and together they have four school-aged children. While their children currently attend Scituate schools, they were also homeschooled for several years. As a homeschooling parent, she volunteered at a homeschool cooperative of approximately 65 students ages 0-18 where she taught classes, coordinated celebrations, and planned special theme days. Tracey is a member of the Clayville School Improvement Team (SIT) whose focus is to help principals assess student needs, review school budgets and create annual school improvement plans. In addition, Tracey is currently serving as Recording Secretary for the Clayville Elementary PTO. Tracey currently stays at home to raise her children, but some of her past work experience include retail, banking, and payment processing. She also has an Associates of Science degree in Computer Networking from NEIT. If elected, Tracey is committed to shaping educational policies, contributing to fiscal oversight, identifying local educational needs and ensuring transparent representation.
